The JD Andrews Foundation is headed by professionals whose leadership has played a significant role in the advancement of Early Childhood Education: JD Andrews, former Chief Operating Officer of NAEYC and founder of the CDA Council for Professional Recognition; Marilyn Smith, former executive director of NAEYC, and Carol Day, former executive director of the National Black Child Development Institute and of the CDA Council for Professional Recognition, and President of NAEYC. JDAF's leaders have committed their professional lives to serving children and the early childhood education community.
